Finalists Announced

We had a great day at GameCity 7 in Nottingham for the Games for Film contest final on Friday 26 October. There were some great pitches from the companies involved and the panel was pleased to announce the following applicants as provional winners: 

Challenge one: Games to promote the new British movie 'Smash and Grab: The Story of the Pink Panthers’, supported by the BFI

Best Hands in the Business by Peekabu Studios

"Best Hands in the Business is an interactive web and Smart TV application that lets players crack a safe with steady hands and a good ear."

Challenge two: Games to promote a theatrical and/or home entertainment release(s), supported by Lionsgate UK

Hunger Games Death Match Quiz (DMQ) by Onteca

"A social game which fuses multi-player quiz game mechanics with Strategy and RPG elements. Play against each other to find a survivor."

Challenge three: Games to promote the new British movie 'Spike Island', supported by the BFI 

Dance Like A Manc by Moonshine Media

"‘DLAM’ is a mobile game that dances you in to the world of Spike Island.  It’s lnstagram for the video you take on your phone."

A little about Games For Film Contest

The Games for Film Contest, run by IC tomorrow in association with the University of Abertay, offers £100k to companies offering innovative gaming solutions to challenges in the film sector. Challenge partners include the BFI and Liongate.
